Artist Terri Waters is a Gatlinburg native and a descendent of the first pioneer settlers who came to the Smokies in 1804 and became Gatlinburg’s founding family. A Fine Arts graduate of the University of Tennessee, Terri uses her art to express her vision of the Smokies. Through watercolor, oils, and acrylics her work tells the story of the Smoky Mountain Landscape; sunrises and sunsets, wildlife, historic buildings and wildflowers all come alive beneath the artist brush. Terri has received the Gatlinburg Fine Arts Council’s Achievement Award 2011 for her contribution to the arts. Terri’s first gallery opened in 1983 downtown Gatlinburg. In 2008 she relocated her studio to her childhood home on the corner of Buckhorn and Bebb Road.
