Pets in the Park
You can bring your pooch along for your adventure inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so long as you follow a few guidelines. Dogs are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas and along roads if they’re leashed at all times and the leash is not more than 6 feet long. Pets are only permitted on two walking trails — Gatlinburg Trail and Oconaluftee River Trail.
PRO TIP: To keep any national park visit safe and enjoyable for you, your pet and other visitors, remember BARK!
