July 4th in Gatlinburg

No other city is as Patriotic as Gatlinburg during the 4th of July as we celebrate in a big way with our city hosting the very first Independence Day Parade in the nation. This parade has been named a Top Ten Parade to see in the US by National Geographic Traveler Magazine and as one of the Five Best Fourth of July Celebrations in Smaller Cities by Livability.com

This parade kicks off the holiday starting at 12:01 a.m. on July 4. The parade route begins at Baskins Creek Bypass on East Parkway at traffic light #3 and travels the length of downtown to traffic light #10 stretching over a mile. Gatlinburg’s Fourth of July parade will end at 10:00 PM finishing with spectacular fireworks display right in the heart of downtown.

During his time, the streets of Gatlinburg are filled with Appalachian music from Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales and be sure to take advantage of our free Gatlinburg Trolley which runs daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
