Gatlinburg is excited to announce that its famous Parkway will soon be rolling out the welcome mat for Blake Shelton’s lifestyle branded restaurant, Ole Red.
“We are thrilled that Blake Shelton has chosen Gatlinburg for this new venture,” says Mark Adams, president and CEO of the Gatlinburg CVB. “His acclaim as a country music star and coach on the hit television show ‘The Voice’ has made him a household name worldwide. The combination of his brand and popularity of this destination will make Ole Red Restaurant a must see when visitors come to Gatlinburg.”
With a planned opening in spring 2019, Ole Red Gatlinburg will be a $9 million, a multi-level 16,000-square-foot entertainment venue with a two-story bar and restaurant, exterior terrace, performance space, dance floor and retail area.
This third Ole Red entertainment venue will add to the Gatlinburg food scene with its unique, Shelton-inspired menu that will include Nashville culinary favorites such as Hot Chicken & Waffles, barbeque, burgers and many other Southern classics.
The venue will be equipped with state-of-the-art performance equipment and planned programming that will include curated concert line-ups and performances from up-and-coming talent.
Designed to embody the spirit of Shelton’s clever, irreverent hit “Ol’ Red,” the Ole Red brand is part of Ryman Hospitality Properties’ strategy to celebrate the country lifestyle and bring country music’s entertainment power to Gatlinburg’s residents and visitors.
“The announcement of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Restaurant is a testament to the strength of Gatlinburg as a Premier Resort Destination,” says Gatlinburg City Manager Cindy Cameron Ogle. “This move by Ryman Hospitality Properties to position Ole Red’s brand with the City confirms the popularity of Gatlinburg not only with visitors, but with investors. We are excited to see this project develop and look forward to having Ole Red in Gatlinburg.”
This new development is one in a series of new businesses emerging in the Gatlinburg area, alongside Margaritaville Resort, Savannah Bee Company and the opening of outdoor family theme park Anakeesta, which opened in the summer of 2017. With so much exciting new growth and established visitor appeal, Gatlinburg is sure to be even higher on everyone’s travel bucket lists.
