Hop aboard Gatlinburg’s free trolley!

When the word Free is mentioned, most people’s ears perk up. Mention Free Trolley around Gatlinburg and that’s something everyone likes to hear! Take a ride around Parkway on the Free Summer Trolley. These fun open-air shuttles operate from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily June 13 through August 17. Extra stops have been established along the route so now you can take advantage of 40 total stops along Parkway.

Free is awesome, but you can take advantage of even more trolley transportation deals in Gatlinburg. City welcome centers sell all day $2.00 passes that give you access to any of the other trolley routes for unlimited rides (except Tan and Pink routes). What a great deal and so convenient too, as you can leave your car behind and see all the sights very inexpensively. Riding the trolleys is also a fun way to meet people and enjoy your day while the trolley operators do all the driving for you.

Here are some of the popular stops on each of the trolley routes:

Red: River Road & Convention Center, Historic Nature Trail

Yellow: Arts & Crafts Community

Purple: Serves free Gatlinburg Park n Ride lot and Gatlinburg Welcome Center located on the Spur/Highway 441.

Green: Historic Nature Trail & Convention Center

Blue: Convenient access to shops, lodging and attractions.

Tan: National Park

Pink: Offers convenient access to Dollywood theme park.

Please consult the trolley schedule for dates and times as some trolleys have changeable schedules throughout the year. All trolleys are handicap accessible. You can take advantage of 17 parking lots in Gatlinburg so you can leave your car and use the trolleys for all your travels. The parking lot fees vary; please look for the blue parking labels.
