As fall fades into the winter season, Anakeesta invites you to visit the Smoky Mountains and enjoy NEW, and immersive experiences at the park with our Enchanted Winter event! Anakeesta’s winter seasonal celebration kicks off November 11, in conjunction with the City of Gatlinburg’s Festival of Lights and runs through mid-February 2022.

For more than two months, guests to the park will be enchanted by our winter decorations, including a 40-foot tall Christmas tree at the Anakeesta plaza on the Parkway. Visitors can snap a photo in front of the tree before taking a cozy ride on our Ridge Rambler vehicles through the forest or enjoying a scenic trip through the crisp winter air on our Chondola.

Once guests arrive atop Anakeesta Mountain, they’ll be greeted by holiday décor throughout Firefly and Black Bear Villages where families can cozy around a firepit or take in a bit of seasonal shopping.  Then, immerse yourself in our magical Arctic Alley of lights, a pathway at the heart of the adventure park lit by tens of thousands of winter-themed lights.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a brand NEW lighting experience in our Vista Gardens. This immersive attraction simulates a winter storm, complete with magical lighting special effects and the sounds of nature, putting you right in the middle of an authentic Smoky Mountain moment.

After visitors have enjoyed taking in the lights, they can enjoy a sweet treat from our NEW Hot Chocolate Trail , which features creative, hot chocolate concoctions at every food and beverage location in the park. It’s the perfect way to warm up in the winter! Along with our hot chocolate trail, guests can enjoy our seasonal, winter-themed dining menus crafted by our culinary experts.

And winter in the mountains won’t be complete without one very special guest. Anakeesta will be hosting Mr. Santa Claus himself, along with his wife, Mrs. Claus, for a very special breakfast on December 4 and December 11. Tickets to the breakfast vary by age and include all-day access to the park, holiday crafts and sing-a-long, a professional photo with Santa and a delicious meal. Children and their families will be treated to a Santa parade before breakfast. Breakfast will kick off around 8:30 a.m., and all children will get a special moment with Santa and Mrs. Claus. If you can’t make it to Breakfast with Santa, you’ll still get a chance to spend some time with Mr. Claus. Both he and Mrs. Claus will be at Anakeesta November 26, November 27, December 3, December 4, December 10, and December 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
