GATLINBURG, TENNESSEE  – This spring marks the much anticipated Annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament, a two-day tournament that gives anglers the chance to competitively cast their rods. Adults, children, visitors and locals alike are welcome to come and enjoy over 20 miles of well-stocked trout streams prior to the event. Those that wish to participate in the tournament will be eligible to win numerous prizes, including fishing equipment, hotel and motel accommodations, trophies, cash rewards and much more.

The tournament will be held Saturday through Sunday, April 7 and April 8, with Saturday’s events beginning 30 minutes before sunrise and lasting until 4 p.m. Sunday’s events will begin 30 minutes before sunrise and end at 2 p.m. Official tournament waters will include West Prong Little Pigeon River from the National Park boundary in Gatlinburg, downstream to the Sevierville City Park bridge and its tributaries, which includes Roaring Fork, LeConte Creek, and Dudley Creek. All trout must be at weigh-in located at Patriot Park, Pigeon Forge, traffic light #7 by 4 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Only Rainbow Trout will be weighed during the competition.
