If There’s One Thing Everybody Needs Right Now, It’s a Little Love

The Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, one of the city’s most historic and iconic attractions, is continuing the success of its incredibly popular holiday light celebration with the return of its “Love is in the Air” event throughout February. With thousands of red and white lights and love themed decorations, the park is spreading some love all month long.

In the event’s second year, visitors can stroll through the “Tunnel of Love,” a 300-foot tunnel of lights spanning the length of the SkyBridge. Custom-welded hearts will be hung beneath the bridge and 18,000 lights will be strung to create the “Tunnel of Love”. On the SkyDeck, visitors will be greeted by a 30-foot tall tree of lights and twinkling lights in the trees that will be synced to the sounds of classic songs from beloved Motown and soul artists.
“Since the opening of the SkyBridge, we can’t even begin to count the number of proposals we’ve seen along the bridge and atop Crockett Mountain,” said Park General Manager Randy Watson. “That’s why this event seems like a natural fit for us and a celebration of what we see here every day, and what better time than when everybody could use a little love?”
The “Love is in the Air'' event runs until February 28, 2021, at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, and is included as part of the regular ticket price. During the winter season, the park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are available at the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park ticket office or online at gatlinburgskylift.com.
