ClausFest 2012 will mark the return of the largest Santa Claus festival in the Southeast when approximately 300 Santas and Mrs. Clauses, elves and helpers descend on Gatlinburg for the ClausFest Parade on Saturday, March 17 in downtown.
The public parade of Santas begins at 4 p.m. Fans of all ages are encouraged to come out and line the Parkway between traffic lights 10 and 5 to wave to the red-clad participants and witness the many different looks of Santa and his supporters through the years.
While most of the convention itself is closed to the public, ClausFest will also offer a Santa Fashion Show on Tuesday, March 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the W.L. Mills Auditorium featuring the latest in looks for Santa and Mrs. Claus Costumes. This fashion show is open to the public and should be a huge hit if you have ever wondered how many outfits Santa keeps in his closet.
ClausFest 2012 (March 18 to 21) is a nonprofit event providing an opportunity for Santas everywhere to get together, exchange ideas and learn how to be the best Santa ever. For more information about ClausFest 2012 please visit www.clausfest.org.
